AA Adopts: Manasa and Adithya
AA Adopts
Featuring Manasa and Adithya
At Art Again, we’re all about filling more lives with art. Our marketplace exists to give art, otherwise stuck hidden in private collections, renewed meaning by helping it find a home again.
In our new segment AA Adopts, we feature the art we’ve successfully re-homed, highlight the diversity of buyers from our platform and explore how seamlessly they’ve integrated these artworks into their lives and spaces.

For our first instalment of AA Adopts, we feature Manasa and Adithya (Adi), a creative couple who acquired their first ever artwork with us, Hengki Pudjanto’s Untitled (Landscape III). They describe the purchase as an easy one; the work perfectly balanced their polarising tastes, Adi’s preference for bold graphic design and minimalism contrasting with Manasa’s maximalist tendencies. While it was not specifically chosen for their rented apartment, it found a perfect nook in their temporary home, serving as a vision for their future abode and providing the creative pair with a setting for deep introspection.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your passion for art?
Hi, I’m Manasa and I work in payments. I’m not sure if I get to call myself an artist anymore, but I’ve always had big feelings and art has been the only space to hold these feelings.
My husband, Adi, is inherently a creative – an art director by day, potter and DJ other times, he’s one of those people for whom art (in many forms) is a true calling.
What drew you to the work by Hengki Pudjianto, and why did you decide to purchase it?
It’s very rare for Adi and I like to a piece of art unanimously. His taste varies between the minimal or graphic design inspired work, while I’m a full maximalist.
Somehow this work had something for both of us. Your eyes are guided from bottom to top with clear structure, then an unexpected pop of pink appears that works. (When) Adi first showed me this work, I said yes immediately which, trust me, rarely happens.
How does this artwork complement your home?
Honestly, we didn’t buy the piece to complement our current home style. We’re renting now and have limited control over the decor. However, Adi and I have a clear idea of what our future home will look like, and this artwork seems like it will fit that vision. Surprisingly, it has already found its own little corner in our rental.
Can you share any special story or connection you feel with this piece?
Aside from the fact that it is rare for us to agree on a piece so quickly, it's been wonderful to see our guests truly appreciate it. People often view art as mere decoration, but we've had many conversations about this piece. When I need a moment, I look at it and feel transported to Pudjianto's world of the sunset, the water, the sky. Art creates worlds within our home, and I can’t imagine this piece blending into our walls.
