Vanessa Liem, Is There Life on Mars?, 2021
Oil on linen
121 x 91 cm
Condition: Very Good, slight surface dust
-
This was purchased with Race to the Moon, when I brought my 4-month old son to visit Vanessa during her residence at Cuturi. I found this melancholic piece resonated with me as it will with many parents, who are constantly battling their children’s addiction to devices. Sadly letting go of this, I loved the luminosity and the details.
