She graduated from the Hokkaido Institute of Design in 1991, and her practice has since developed around a deeply personal visual language shaped by the atmosphere of her northern homeland, particularly its long winters and sense of stillness. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003eIida’s paintings are characterised by soft light, delicate lines and a gentle, almost surreal mood. Her works often feature animals, flowers and solitary figures, conveying a sense of innocence, introspection and emotional warmth. Influenced by the idea that all things possess a spirit, her compositions balance realism with fantasy, creating quiet, contemplative worlds that invite personal reflection.
