He was a member of the Modern Art Society and participated in its \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.postcolonialweb.org\/singapore\/arts\/painters\/channel\/16.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"\u003e1965 exhibition\u003c\/a\u003e alongside artists including Sim Pang Liang, Tan Ping Chiang, Han Kuan Cheng and Swee Khim Ann. The Society was an important platform for artists exploring modernist approaches and moving beyond conventional representational painting.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLoo’s work is represented in the National Collection of Singapore, including River in the Blue (1963), an oil painting that was formerly part of the Loke Wan Tho Collection.
