His career took off in 2015 with a parody of the Michelin mascot, setting the tone for his humorous critiques of branding and advertising. His practice builds a visual world where familiar imagery from consumer society—such as brand mascots, internet memes, animation, film and art history—is collaged, distorted or reimagined through a playful yet critical lens. Central to his work is a questioning of the boundary between “fine” and “fake,” underpinned by the idea of “art for everyone."

Since his first solo exhibition in 2015, where he satirised the Michelin mascot, Sambypen has exhibited widely in cities including Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Las Vegas and Miami.
