Gregorius Sidharta Soegijo (Indonesian, 1932-2006) sculptor renowned for his innovative approach that harmonizes traditional craftsmanship with contemporary artistic expression. As one of the first graduates of the renowned Indonesian Academy of Fine Arts (ASRI) in 1950, he explored various mediums which resulted in his unique and distinct sculpture inspired by religious and cultural themes. 

Rooster sculpture was gifted by artist to collector’s father.
