This was Bali sometime in the 90s. We were having a meal at a gallery-restaurant, and the artist happened to be there. He told us that if we could guess what the central figure was he would sell the painting to us. My husband said he saw a ship sailing, and I saw a man dancing. What do you see?
This was the first artwork we ever purchased. I love telling this story to all my guests.
