Gouache with Gold Leaf on paper
55 x 64 cm (visible), 78.5 x 69.5 cm (matboard)
Condition: Very Good (foxing along edges)

-
3 of 3 Chinese Farmer Art paintings collected by a late Singaporean modern artist.
The gold leaf embellishment on the left and right-side of the artwork is a distinctive style that the Singaporean artist used in many of his own works. The estate believes that he added gold leaf to the existing Chinese Farmer painting after acquiring it. The artwork is the result of a rather spectacular unintended collaboration between both artists.
It is rare to gain access to an artist's personal collection of artworks, let alone have the chance of acquiring one.
