Chua Soo Kim, Untitled (Saga Seed), Undated
Fired stoneware
25.5 (H) x 25 (D) cm
Condition: Good, sight chip on lip
-
We found ourselves drawn to this piece inspired by Australia’s contrasting landscape of sea and desert. Random seaweeds the artist picked up to work into his art reminded us of red saga seeds we picked up a long way back in our childhood, to play with and even used to trade for small things.
The chip is unfortunate but like all things of the past, it lends an imperfection that is part of its overall appeal.
We are letting go of this old friend because we are moving into a smaller home with less space for all the art we love.
