Jason Seife, Stare at the Sun, Undated
Archival UV ink on hydrostone plaster
46 x 30.5 cm (visible), 49 x 34 x 6 cm (framed)
Condition: Very good
-
Jason Seife is an American artist of Syrian and Cuban descent. His work explores his middle eastern heritage through a contemporary lens. Having spent time in the middle east as a child I was drawn to Seife’s combination of delicate arabesque motifs with distressed concrete and plaster - a juxtaposition and balance of beauty and brokenness, softness and hardness, elegance and violence.
‘Nowruz’ is the second piece (of three so far) by Jason Seife I purchased.
