Ong Kim Seng, Mandai Zoo, 2002
Watercolour on paper
14 x 21 cm (visible), 36 x 42 x 3 cm (framed)
Condition: Very good
No certificate of authenticity
-
Ong Kim Seng (b. 1945) completed this painting plein-air (outdoors) during his classes in the early-2000s, which I attended as a student of his. These have a very skilled loose feel to them. This piece is particularly historic, it depicts Mandai Zoo before all the development.
I prefer not to sell them, I had bought these from Kim Seng, but am retiring and downsizing, unfortunately I won’t have enough wall space to do them justice.
