We acquired a few works by Peter Wright (Australian, 1941 - 1999) during our frequent family trips to Australia in the 1990s. The Sydney-born artist was stricken with cancer when we met him, and we acquired works by the gentleman because of the way he was able to capture the essence of Australia.

He was a splendid voyager on the boat of art, with an academic eye and depth of experience in oil and watercolour painting, and printmaking, informing his manner of work towards the subject of Landscapes.
