麦氏（新加坡人，生于 1957 年）在南洋艺术学院学习西方绘画（1976-1978 年），师从岭南画派大师赵少昂学习中国水墨画（1979-1982 年）。麦氏将中国传统构图与西方技法完美融合。她大胆而深思熟虑的创作手法明显受到胡安·米罗和杰克逊·波洛克等艺术家的启发。
