Anton Kustia Widjaja (Indonesia, 1935-1985), known as Anton Huang, honed his artistic skills under the guidance of esteemed masters Kartono Yudhokusumo and Barli Sasmitawinata at their studios.
In 1969, Anton made a significant move to Bali, settling in the vibrant artistic community of Ubud. A keen colourist, Anton was inspired by the mosaic quality of colours found in Balinese offerings and traditional dances. Through his work, Anton captures the essence of Balinese culture, inviting viewers to experience the beauty and richness of this enchanting landscape and details of the mundane.
