    Boris Ivanov (Ukrainian-born, 1957-2023), was a Moscow artist renowned for his distinctive "Planet of Fats" collection, a series that infused everyday life with a touch of light grotesqueness and kind irony. In 1989, Ivanov nurtured his artistic approach after graduating from the Moscow Art School. By 2000, "The Planet of Fats" emerged, a playful yet insightful commentary on human nature through the lens of generously proportioned figures. His works, including the "Melancholy" painting capture relatable emotions and moments with a unique blend of humor and empathy, earning him recognition among both the public and prominent Russian figures. Ivanov's art offers a whimsical and thought-provoking exploration of the human experience

    His works have been displayed internationally and are part of private collections belonging to celebrated Russian figures, including Mikhail Gorbachev, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Yuri Luzhkov, and others.
