Khoo Sui Hoe (Malaysian, b. 1939) is a painter known for his contributions to modern art in Southeast Asia. Born in Kedah, he trained at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore from 1959 to 1961, where he studied under Cheong Soo Pieng and other leading Nanyang artists. His early exposure to modernist principles shaped his later approach, which combined simplified figurative forms with strong colour and structure.

After graduating, Khoo lived and worked in both Malaysia and the United States, holding exhibitions in Singapore, Penang, Kuala Lumpur and several American cities. He was a founding member of the Utara Group and later established Alpha Gallery in Penang, an important platform for contemporary Malaysian artists. His works are included in major institutional collections such as the National Art Gallery (Malaysia) and the Singapore Art Museum.

Acquired directly from the artist circa 1990s.
