Archives

Here at Art Again, we understand that the experience of viewing art in person can never truly be replaced.

Which is why a big part of what we do is host physical exhibitions and events drawn directly from private collections. As a secondary marketplace, our shows do not adhere to the strict refinement of a gallery, nor can we offer the wild unpredictability of hunting for art in a junk shop. Instead, we sit somewhere in between: come as you are, hang out with the community, and witness a novel way of experiencing art.

From an exhibition inspired by Singapore's wet markets and bazaars, to an all-women artist show celebrating trailblazing women in our art history, I hope you enjoy Art Again Archives.

Motif by Keiko Moriuchi

Singapore Art Week 2026 | 17 January – 1 February 2026

Tokonoma, 16 Shaw Road, Singapore

Art Again's inaugural exhibition with a living artist, presenting the Singapore debut of Keiko Moriuchi (Japanese, b. 1943), the last artist to join Japan's legendary Gutai Art Association, and the only member ever personally recruited into the group by its founder, Jiro Yoshihara. Held at Tokonoma, a cultural project space in Tai Seng inspired by the contemplative alcoves of traditional Japanese homes, the exhibition brought together fourteen works spanning Moriuchi's signature investigations into cosmic order, sacred geometry and gold. Now 83 and based in Kyoto, Moriuchi has pursued a singular practice for six decades, working with paint and gold leaf to render the fundamental structures of the universe visible. The show ran as part of Singapore Art Week 2026, with 17 works available for sale.

Inhabitants

International Women's Day | 13 – 22 March 2026

10C Kim Tian Road, Tiong Bahru, Singapore

Presented in conjunction with Weekend Culture, Inhabitants brought together over 40 works by 14 women artists whose practices have shaped Singapore's art history. Set across a Tiong Bahru walk-up apartment, the exhibition placed works by artists spanning multiple generations and disciplines (painting, printmaking, sculpture, computation and installation) in a lived-in domestic environment, each room dedicated to a single artist. All works were drawn from eight private collections and made available for purchase, offering rare access to pieces long held out of the public eye.

Pasar

SG60 | 8 – 17 August 2025

Objects, 51 Tannery Lane, Singapore

Art Again's second anniversary exhibition, presented in conjunction with SG60, reimagined the show space as a Southeast Asian marketplace. Drawing on the visual language of wet markets, night bazaars and provision stalls, Pasar brought together works spanning the 1960s to the early 2000s from 10 private collections, organised across three curatorial themes: Produce, Maze and Commerce. The exhibition drew a deliberate parallel between the art market and the pasar, treating both as fundamentally human spaces of exchange. Works ranged from SGD 500 to 26,000, with artists including Teng Nee Cheong, Chua Mia Tee, Chen Cheng Mei, Ong Kim Seng and Jimmy Ong. Held at Objects, an industrial warehouse showroom in Tannery Lane run by Naji, the show closed with a drawing session and reception on 16 August.
