We had the pleasure of meeting the artist himself during his exhibition in Singapore a French gallery in Capitol Building where Kempinski Hotel is. As the saying goes, "the art is the artist," and this rings true for Dugois. His works exude a calming and gentle presence, soothing both the eye and soul, while reflecting his deep love for the idyllic landscapes of his homeland. Oil pastel, a notoriously challenging medium, is handled with exceptional skill in his hands. The three pieces we acquired have remained in pristine condition over the years—a true testament to Dugois’ mastery and the enduring quality of his art.
