Aaron Elvis Jupin (American, b. 1991) is a contemporary painter based in Los Angeles. Raised in the suburbs of Orange County, Jupin developed an early fascination with the surreal aspects of suburban life. He graduated from Otis College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Jupin’s work is characterised by his masterful use of airbrush techniques to create realistic scenes that transform mundane snapshots into extraordinary, often surreal, compositions. His paintings frequently explore the uncanny aspects of everyday life. By depicting familiar objects in unexpected contexts, Jupin invites viewers to reconsider their perceptions of reality.

The year 2020 was a turning point for me. Amid the chaos of the pandemic, loss, and economic downturn, I, like many, found myself overwhelmed by the weight of it all. Then I encountered Aaron’s piece, "Take It All Away," and it felt like a breath of fresh air.

This artwork resonated deeply, as if it wiped away my pain and tears. It inspired me to rise above despair and rediscover resilience. The unique posture of the fingers in the piece conveys movement and raw emotion, while Aaron’s touch gives it a glitchy, animated effect that draws you in.

"Take It All Away" became a symbol of hope and courage for me, reminding me that even in difficult times, we can rebound and find strength.
