Chen Shitong (Singaporean, b. 1985) received his early training at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, where he completed a Diploma in Fine Art, before graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art (Painting) from LASALLE College of the Arts in partnership with Goldsmiths, University of London, in 2013. In 2018, he completed professional printmaking training at the Tamarind Institute in the United States and became a certified Tamarind Printer. He is also active as an educator in Singapore.
Chen Shitong is best known for his work in painting and traditional fine art printmaking, particularly lithography and collagraphy. His practice often explores the relationship between human figures and their surrounding environments, focusing on space, memory, and everyday urban experience. He has held solo exhibitions in Singapore and has participated in numerous local and international group exhibitions, and is recognised for his technical discipline and commitment to printmaking practice.
