Christine Mak (Singaporean, b. 1957) was trained in Western painting at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (1976–1978) and in Chinese brush painting under Chao Shao-An, a master of the Lingnan style (1979–1982). Mak seamlessly blends traditional Chinese compositions with Western techniques. Her inspirations, drawn from artists like Joan Miró and Jackson Pollock, are evident in her bold yet thoughtful approach.
This cheerful piece serves as a delightful reminder of how our perceptions evolve as they are shaped by the passage of time. Its vibrant energy and timeless charm make it a treasured addition to our collection, inspiring reflection on the fluid nature of memory and perspective.
