Christine Mak's (Singaporean, b. 1957) artistic style blends traditional compositions and forms of Chinese painting with Western techniques, especially inspired by the works of Joan Miro and Jackson Pollock.

Mak trained in Western painting at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (1976-1978) and in Chinese brush painting under Chao Shao-An, a master of the Lingnan (岭南) style (1979 to 1982).

Mak has received accolades at the Ministry of Communications and Information Art Competition (1987, 1989 and 1990), the Philip Morris ASEAN Art Awards (1995), the IBM Art Award (1988 and 1989) and the UOB Painting of the Year (1996).
