Paul "Franko" Franklin (Australian, b. 1969) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Queensland, known for his bold, large-format works that blend abstract painting, urban pop art and textured Abstract Realism. Self-taught and driven by a love of colour and surface, he initially worked in graphic design before transitioning full-time into making art, where his background in visual communication has informed his dynamic compositions.
We commissioned a playful and vibrant painting of Mr. Monopoly by Australian artist Paul Franklin after searching long and hard for a pop art piece to add to our collection. Created in 2024 using acrylics, sugar sprays, inks, and layered textures with a gloss finish, the artwork turned out exactly as we wanted - bold, vibrant and full of character.
Its colourful, expressive style has brought warmth to our space, and it has been a conversational piece with our guests at home as it always captures attention.
