Gongkan (Thai, b. 1989), also known as Kantapon Metheekul, is a contemporary Thai artist known for his distinctive “Teleport Art,” a visual language that explores themes of time, space and displacement. He studied at Silpakorn University in Bangkok before beginning his career in advertising, later moving to New York where he developed his artistic practice through street art and illustration.

Gongkan’s works often feature surreal, flatly rendered figures interacting with portals or voids, suggesting movement between realities and emotional states. His compositions combine soft, pastel tones with graphic precision, creating a calm yet introspective atmosphere that is occasionally disrupted by stark contrasts. Drawing from personal experiences of relocation and cultural identity, his work reflects ideas of belonging, memory and self-reflection. He has exhibited widely across Asia, Europe and the United States, and continues to live and work in Bangkok.

    Acquired from Rivercity Bangkok.
