I Gusti Alit Cakra (Indonesian, b. 1964) graduated from the Indonesia Arts Institute (ISI) Yogyakarta in 1992. He has exhibited his paintings widely in Indonesia and internationally, and his works have appeared in auctions and gallery exhibitions over the years. He is associated with the Kelompok Barak (Barak Group), a collective of Balinese artists active in Yogyakarta.

I Gusti Alit Cakra is known for his exploration of human figures, abstraction, and the interplay of traditional Balinese motifs with contemporary painting techniques. His works often investigate the tension between form and colour, the symbolic use of patterns, and the expressive potential of gesture. Through his compositions, he engages with both cultural heritage and personal interpretation, producing paintings that balance narrative, symbolism, and visual experimentation.

Acquired from Aryaseni Gallery in 2006.
