I Wayan Wirawan (Indonesian, b. 1975) is a prominent contemporary Balinese artist. Originally trained in the traditional Batuan painting style, he has since expanded his artistic expression to include wood carving, sculpture, and large-scale installations.
Wirawan has received recognition in prestigious exhibitions and competitions, including awards for watercolour and sketching form the Indonesian Arts Institute, and was a finalist in the Nokia Art Awards. He participated in the "Forgotten" group show at Sin Sin Fine Art in Hong Kong in 2020, and has seen his works sold through Indonesian auction houses, with pieces like Ranting-ranting Kehidupan and Wajah Reformis changing hands in 2017.
