Kam Kee Yong (Singaporean, b. 1938) is a Cultural Medallion winner. An exceptionally talented and gifted violin virtuoso who has also written several symphonies, is also a talented artist. Not surprisingly, he pours his music into his art, creating works that are visually arresting. If music could materialise, be seen and touched, this is it.

A young boy peeks from behind a tree, hoping to be discovered or not? Will the forest hide his secret or reveal his pressnce? We will never know! But it is this sense of whimsy and wonder in his paintings that we love about his works.
