Karl Lagasse (French, b.1981) is a contemporary artist known for his sculptures, paintings, and mixed media work. He began making collages as a child and held his first solo exhibited in 2006 in Brussels. His early work, including the "Buildings" series, drew inspiration from urban architecture and New York skyscrappers.
He rose to international fame in 2009 with his "One Dollar" sculptures, exploring value and symbolism in American culture. Lagasse has exhibited at major art fairs like Art Basel and Art Paris, and has collaborated with brands such as Maserati. In 2017, he created the trophy for the Deauville American Film Festival.
