Khairulddin Wahab (Singaporean, b. 1990) is a contemporary Singaporean artist known for his research-driven paintings that explore themes of cultural geography, environmental history and post-colonial narratives in Southeast Asia. He graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2014 and has since developed a practice rooted in archival materials, found imagery and historical references.
His works often take the form of layered visual tableaus that examine the relationship between humans, history and the natural environment. Drawing from sources such as colonial records, folklore and landscape imagery, Khairulddin creates compositions that reflect on how the region has been shaped by political, cultural and ecological forces. He has exhibited widely both locally and internationally, and was awarded the UOB Painting of the Year in 2018.
Acquired from Cuturi Gallery in 2023.
