Khairullah Rahim (Singaporean, b.1987) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, assemblage, sculpture, photography, and moving image. His work explores marginalised communities, working-class experiences, and strategies of survival within environments shaped by surveillance and social constraints. He often uses found and everyday objects, transforming familiar materials into works that consider desire, labour, identity, and the ways communities navigate visibility and safety.
Rahim's practice is marked by resourcefulness and material experimentation, including his use of synthetic materials such as rhinestones to explore ideas of beauty, vulnerability, and concealment. He received his MFA in Visual Arts from Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts in 2023 and has presented his work internationally, including at the National Gallery Singapore, Barbican Centre in London, and Tai Kwun in Hong Kong. He was also the recipient of the 2017 IMPART Award for Visual Arts, with works held in the collections of the Singapore Art Museum and SUNPRIDE Foundation.
