Condition: Very good, stains on acrylic exterior of frame, stains on the inside of frame and mat board on lower left, but painting is in very good condition.

We met Cuong (b. 1962, Vietnamese) at his exhibition in Singapore, (Raffles Hotel) and he explained the impetus behind this painting. It is of a father wishing for his child to excel academically. See the ink pot and the letters which reflect his aspirations for his child . This struck a chord with us (like all Singaporean parents). We also love his modern contemporary style with an Asian edge.
