We got this painting at Chong (b. 1962, Vietnamese)’s Singapore exhibition (Raffles Hotel). Loved his contemporary style with an Asian edge and his captures of the rhythm of Vietnamese rural life. What caught our eye is how the farmer encircles his buffalo as he ploughs, like how life revolves around the times and seasons of farming.
