Loo Pook Chiang (Singaporean, b. unknown) was a Singaporean artist associated with the development of modern art in Singapore during the 1960s. He was a member of the Modern Art Society and participated in its 1965 exhibition alongside artists including Sim Pang Liang, Tan Ping Chiang, Han Kuan Cheng and Swee Khim Ann. The Society was an important platform for artists exploring modernist approaches and moving beyond conventional representational painting.

Loo’s work is represented in the National Collection of Singapore, including River in the Blue (1963), an oil painting that was formerly part of the Loke Wan Tho Collection. His inclusion in the Modern Art Society and the National Collection places his practice within the early development of Singapore’s modernist art movement.
