Ly Tran (Vietnamese-American, b. 1982) is a contemporary painter from Hanoi, Vietnam, now based in the United States. Guided by her emotions, her work reflects a rich yet simple familiarity, rooted in deeply personal experiences. Ly Tran uses materials as a medium for expression rather than a limitation, freeing her practice from adherence to any specific artistic school or style.

I acquired her work in 2023 and believe her artistic journey holds great promise, as she consistently showcases prolific creativity and a fearless approach to experimenting with new techniques.
