I don’t know the story behind Maznah Ahmad’s piece, but every time I look at it, it feels like it came out of a really charged moment. Almost as if someone is trying to break out of cycle. The question is - a cycle of what? I’m selling it only because I don’t have the space anymore. If you’re drawn to work that carries that kind of raw, restless energy, this piece has it in a way that stays with you.
