Michael Lee (Singaporean, b. 1972) is a contemporary artist, curator and publisher whose multidisciplinary practice explores urban memory, architecture and the idea of loss. He studied in the United States, earning a BFA from the University of Texas and an MFA from Hunter College, New York, and has since developed an internationally recognised practice.

Lee’s works often take the form of installations, models, texts and diagrams, translating personal and collective histories into visual structures. His practice reflects an interest in how cities are built, remembered and transformed over time, often merging fiction with documentation. He has exhibited widely across Asia, Europe and the United States, and is also active as a curator and publisher, contributing to contemporary discourse through both exhibitions and writing.

Acquired from a Valentine Willie Fine Arts exhibition in 2011.
