Nguyen Dieu Thuy (Vietnam, b. 1962) is an artist who graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts in traditional and contemporary painting. She is known for her elegant paintings that often explore themes of Vietnamese culture, daily life and natural beauty. Her work frequently features the quiet grace of rural Vietnam, such as women in traditional ao dai, riverside scenes, and lush landscapes, rendered with a soft, atmospheric quality.
Thuy’s art deeply reflects appreciation for traditional Vietnamese aesthetics while integrating modern techniques and personal poetic sensibilities. Her compositions are of fluid lines, harmonious colour palettes, and a delicate balance between detail and abstraction.
She has participated in both solo and group exhibitions in Vietnam and internationally. These include Agora Gallery in New York, Sutcliffe Gallery in Harrogate, and Eaton Terrace Gallery in London.
