Formed in 1998, Plastique Kinetic Worms (PKW) is a contemporary non-profit art collective co-founded by seminal artists Vincent Leow and Yvonne Lee. It has generated great interest and won the acknowledgement of various local and foreign art communities and institutions, establishing itself as a meeting ground, bridging individual artists, art communities and the public.

PKW played a pivotal role in supporting the local Singaporean arts scene by showcasing Singaporean contemporary art at its gallery as well as at local and international arts festivals, the non-profit art collective has significantly raised the profile of Singapore artists in the region. 

“Boxed: 26 x26” comprises of original artwork and/or limited-edition print created by a member or friend of PKW.  It is a limited edition set of images that is diverse in its approach to art practice, and serves as a highly-collectible and seminal work of Singapore’s art history.

The Art Again team met with Vincent Leow to speak at length about the incredible things PKW got up to. Among other things, Vincent is an educator at SOTA and met the Art Again co-founders in that capacity more than a decade ago. Vincent remembered every artist PKW worked with, including the artists that contributed to this box set which was created to to help with PKW’s fundraising efforts. It’s interesting to learn where these artists are today.
