Belonging to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, formerly named the Prince of Wales Museum of Western India, the museum in Mumbai is dedicated to documenting the history of India from prehistoric to modern times. The prints not only provide a wonderful insight into the artistry of Kangra paintings, but they are also a unique series documenting 18th Century Mughal-era urban and theatrical life, such as depicting scenes from the Gita Govinda, and portrayals of Radha and Krishna.

Prints include the following works, titled:

    • The Message Of Reconciliation (A Page From The Gita Govinda)

    • Krishna Swallowing The Forest Fire

    • Lovers Meeting On Balcony In A Rocky Landscape

    • Marriage Procession Of Rama

      (Photographed in September 2024)
