Roby Dwi Antono (Indonesian, b. 1990) is a contemporary painter and visual artist based in Yogyakarta, celebrated for his mixture of pop-surrealism and classical portraiture. Drawing on influences from Renaissance art, mythology and Japanese contemporary aesthetics, his dreamlike compositions often feature wide-eyed children, animals and fantastical hybrids that evoke themes of innocence, nostalgia and loss.
