Sherman Ong (Singaporean, b. 1979) is a contemporary artist and filmmaker whose multidisciplinary practice spans photography, film and installation. He studied at LASALLE College of the Arts and later at the University for the Creative Arts in the United Kingdom. His works often centre on portraiture and storytelling, exploring identity, migration and the complexities of contemporary society through both still and moving image.

Ong’s practice is shaped by an interest in human relationships and the environments people inhabit, often blurring the line between documentary and constructed narratives. His works have been exhibited internationally, including at major biennales and film festivals, and are recognised for their sensitive engagement with social realities and lived experiences across different cultural contexts.

This print was an unsigned gift by Sherman Ong to Substation for Auction.
