    Tara Kasenda, born in 1990, is an Indonesian visual artist who explores various mediums, including oil, installation, print, sculpture, and new media, all while embracing the concept of color within the realm of traditional painting conventions.

    Kasenda's art is regularly showcased in exhibitions spanning South East Asia and Europe. Notable among her exhibitions in Asia are Taksa (Jakarta, 2013), Somatic Markers (Yogyakarta, 2014), and Wheedled Beings (Taipei, 2015). In France, she made her solo exhibition debut with Unshut Windows at Galerie ADLA (Paris, 2021), followed by Eternal Ephemeral (Paris, 2021) and Superlight (Paris, 2023) at Galerie Virginie Louvet.

    In 2019, her contributions to the art world were celebrated in Into the Future, a book that recognizes 21 of Indonesia's most promising contemporary female artists. That same year, Kasenda earned a place among Forbes Indonesia's 30 Under 30, recognising her as a notable presence in the art community.
