Thomas Yeo (Singaporean, b. 1936) is a prominent second-generation Singaporean artist celebrated for his imaginative landscapes and support for Southeast Asian art. Awarded the Cultural Medallion in 1984, Yeo's prolific career spans 39 solo exhibitions, over 100 group shows, and leadership roles in esteemed art organisations such as the Modern Art Society, Singapore.

The owner, an art teacher, befriended the artist and purchased several of their works in the late 1980s. The collection reflects the discerning choices of someone trained in art and experienced in teaching it.
