Wendy Malan (South African, b. 1945) is a post-war and contemporary painter and printmaker. Active from the mid-1970s through into the present, she is best known for her limited-edition screenprints and silkscreens, featuring subjects such as still life, particularly flowers, animals (like guinea fowl and cats), and landscapes of the South African Lowveld.
Malan has exhibited widely across South Africa and has been involved in regional arts festivals such as the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (KKNK) and Innibos. Her style is recognisable for its combination of observation and stylisation, often incorporating layered compositions and strong outlines. She has contributed to group exhibitions and community art events, and her works remain part of many South African private collections.
