Winnie Mak (Hong Kong, b. 1956) was born in Hong Kong and began studying ink painting and calligraphy in the 1970s while living in Calgary, Canada. She trained under the late masters Lee Bing and Lam Chin Shek.

After returning to Hong Kong in 1994, she set up her studio and focused on contemporary ink and printmaking, art education, and public art projects. Her works are held in collections including the Museum of Contemporary Art at Saint Petersburg State University (Russia), Cucuteni Art Museum (Romania), Rachadamnoen Contemporary Art Center and Thailand's Ministry of Culture (Bangkok), National Taiwan Normal University (Taipei), University Museum and Art Gallery (HKU), Hongkong Land, and LOHAS Park, among others.

Her art is grounded in the expressive use of line—delicate, rhythmic, and layered—capturing nature's elegance through a contemporary lens. In Morning Dew, she portrays the quiet vitality just before dawn, revealing a longing to connect with nature in its purest form.
