Woojung Son (South Korean, b. 1986) graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Dankook University in 2012. Her artwork is inspired by dreams and fantasy. Her compositions depict constructed, imaginary spaces populated with surreal imagery, such as floating deer heads and flying polar bears. Woojung hopes that, through her artwork, viewers can reconnect with their childlike imagination.
In 2015, Woojung was a finalist in The Painted World Saatchi Art Showdown Competition, and her artwork was selected to be featured in One to Watch on SaatchiArt.com. She held her first solo exhibition at Artspaceknot in Seoul in 2014, followed by her second solo show at Ilho Gallery in Seoul in 2015.
She has exhibited extensively, including at the Seoul Open Art Fair, Daegu Art Fair, Kidari Gallery, Ilho Gallery, and The Brick Lane Gallery in London.
In this enchanted garden, we are greeted by a familiar motif - a pair of flamingos forming a heart shape, symbolising love and romance. This piece is a perfect addition to the bedroom.
